Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 2026
Dreameany ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this policy in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Law on Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), and applicable U.S. state privacy laws (see Section 9).
1. Data Controller
The data controller for Dreameany is the Dreameany Team. For any privacy-related inquiries, please contact us at:
2. Information We Collect
We prioritize data minimization and do not collect personal information unless necessary for the App's functionality.
- Authentication Data: We offer Device ID-based local storage alongside Supabase Auth and Sign in with Apple. If you authenticate, we receive a unique identifier and necessary account credentials (such as email if provided).
- Usage Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous data about how users interact with the App (e.g., screen views, button clicks). This data is not linked to your identity.
- Subscription & Paywall Data: We use Adapty to manage subscription paywalls, entitlement tracking, and purchase analytics, in addition to the Apple App Store for payment processing. Adapty may receive a device/user identifier, subscription status, and purchase/paywall interaction events. Adapty does not receive your dream content or journal entries. Adapty's own privacy practices are described at adapty.io/privacy.
- Payments: All financial transactions (subscriptions, Dream Weaver Premium) are processed securely by the Apple App Store. We do not have access to your credit card details.
- App Tracking Transparency (ATT): If any SDK we use (such as Firebase Analytics or Adapty) requests access to the device advertising identifier (IDFA) or otherwise tracks you across apps or websites owned by other companies, we will request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before doing so. You may grant or deny this permission at any time via iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- No Advertising: We do not currently display third-party advertising in the App, and we do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
3. AI Data Processing
Dreameany provides an AI-driven subconscious and dream analysis experience.
- How AI Works: Your dream descriptions, journal entries, and symbol inputs are sent to Google Gemini AI via our secure servers (Supabase Edge Functions) to generate real-time analyses and interpretations.
- Our Storage Practices: We do not store, log, or save your active session content on our own servers beyond your secure local database (Hive) and synchronized user records.
- Subprocessor Retention: Please note that Google, as our AI subprocessor, may temporarily process and retain data for a limited period in accordance with its own policies (e.g., for abuse and safety monitoring). We encourage you to review Google's Gemini API terms for details.
- No Training: Your dream records and personal conversations are not used by us to train AI models or for advertising purposes.
- Data Minimization: We only send the minimum amount of data necessary (dream text, selected mood, and relevant symbol context) to the AI service to generate a response. No additional personal data is transmitted.
- Safety & Crisis Notice: The App includes safety keyword recognition solely to display emergency help resources if self-harm or distress is detected. The App does not diagnose medical/psychological conditions, does not store health-related profiles, and does not process special category health data under GDPR Article 9.
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
The App and its third-party services may use the following tracking technologies:
- Firebase Analytics: Uses device identifiers and instance IDs to collect anonymous usage statistics. No cookies are set in the traditional sense, but persistent identifiers are stored locally on your device.
- Adapty: Uses a device/user identifier to track subscription status and paywall performance.
- Local Database (Hive): Stores your dreams, journal history, settings (such as sleep mode and preferences), and local cache securely on your device.
We do not use web cookies. All tracking is limited to mobile SDKs as described above, and any cross-app/website tracking is subject to your ATT permission as described in Section 2.
5. Age Restriction
Dreameany is intended strictly for users who are 15 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 15. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
6. Third-Party Services
Your data may be processed by the following third-party providers:
- Supabase: For authentication, database management, and serverless Edge Functions.
- Google Gemini (AI): To generate dream interpretations and subconscious analyses.
- Google Firebase: For analytics and crash reporting.
- Adapty: For subscription paywall management and purchase/entitlement tracking.
- Apple App Store: For subscription payment processing.
Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their respective policies.
7. International Data Transfers
Dreameany is available internationally, including to users in the European Union, United Kingdom, and United States. Some of our third-party service providers (including Supabase, Google, and Adapty) may process and store data outside of your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms recognized under GDPR to protect data transferred internationally.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account data and dream records for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account (see Section 10), we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records related to subscriptions).
9. Your Rights
GDPR / KVKK (EU / Turkey)
Depending on your location, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (see Section 10).
- Restriction: Request restriction of processing of your data.
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format.

U.S. State Privacy Rights (e.g., California, Virginia, Colorado)
If you are a resident of certain U.S. states, you may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at phronesissoftware@gmail.com.
10. Account Deletion & Data Removal
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- In-App: Tap the gear/settings icon in the top-right corner of the Home or Insights screen to open User Settings, then go to Danger Zone > Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account, user profile, dream records and any associated data from our servers and local storage.
- Via Email: If you cannot access the app, send a request to phronesissoftware@gmail.com with your User ID. We will process your deletion request within 30 days.
Please note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. You must cancel your subscription separately via your device settings (iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions) before deleting your account.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
