Alters.ai ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this policy in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Law on Protection of Personal Data (KVKK).

1. Data Controller

2. Information We Collect

We prioritize data minimization and do not collect personal information unless necessary for the App's functionality.

Authentication Data: We offer Anonymous Login (using your Device ID) and Sign in with Apple. If you use Apple Auth, we receive a unique identifier and, depending on your choice, your email address.
Usage Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous data about how users interact with the App (e.g., screen views, button clicks). This data is not linked to your identity.
Subscription & Payments: We use Adapty to manage subscriptions. All financial transactions are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your credit card details.
Advertising: We use Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your Advertising ID (IDFA/AAID) to serve personalized ads, subject to your consent (ATT on iOS).

3. AI Data Processing

Alters.ai provides an AI-driven mentorship experience.

How AI Works: Your messages and any images you share are sent to Google Gemini AI via our secure servers (Supabase Edge Functions) to generate real-time responses. Only the most recent messages in your conversation are sent for context.
No Storage: We do not store, log, or save your chat history on our servers. Once you leave the chat session, the data is permanently deleted from our temporary processing memory.
No Training: Your conversations are not used to train our AI models or for advertising purposes.
Data Minimization: We only send the minimum amount of data necessary (recent chat context and optional images) to the AI service to generate a response. No additional personal data is transmitted.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The App and its third-party services may use the following tracking technologies:

Firebase Analytics: Uses device identifiers and instance IDs to collect anonymous usage statistics. No cookies are set in the traditional sense, but persistent identifiers are stored locally on your device.
Google AdMob: May use your Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS) to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit ad tracking in your device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
Adapty: Uses a device-level identifier to manage your subscription status and purchase history.

We do not use web cookies. All tracking is limited to mobile SDKs as described above.

5. Age Restriction

Alters.ai is intended strictly for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

6. Third-Party Services

Your data may be processed by the following third-party providers:

Supabase: For authentication and serverless functions.
Google Gemini (AI): To generate AI mentor responses.
Google AdMob & Firebase: For ads and analytics.
Adapty & Apple: For subscription management and payment processing.

Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their respective policies.

7. Account Deletion & Data Removal

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time:

In-App: Go to Settings > Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account, user profile, credit balance, and any associated data from our servers.
Via Email: If you cannot access the app, send a request to phronesissoftware@gmail.com with your User ID. We will process your deletion request within 30 days.

Please note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. You must cancel your subscription separately via iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions before deleting your account.

8. Your Rights (GDPR/KVKK)

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (see Section 7).
Restriction: Request restriction of processing of your data.
Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
